First on the list is our main hero-
Itadori Yuji
To avoid the track team, a teen athlete joins his school’s Occult Club. His school is attacked by phantom-like creatures known as Curses after he discovers and opens a box containing a cursed charm resembling a rotting finger. To protect his friends, he consumes the rotting finger and becomes possessed by Ryoumen Sukuna, a Curse. Yuji later enrols in the Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School under the tutelage of Satoru Gojo, where he is given a suspended death sentence until he consumes all of Sukuna’s fingers in order to kill himself and Sukuna at the same time.
Megumi Fushiguro
A sorcerer in his first year at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School under Satoru’s tutelage. He meets Yuji while looking for a high-level cursed charm talisman at his high school. He is the one who persuades Satoru to try to save Yuji from execution after Sukuna has taken possession of him. Megumi uses his curse power to summon spirits (, Shikigami) from his own shadows in order to exorcise curses. Several powerful people, including Sukuna, have stated that he has great potential as a sorcerer.
Kugisaki Nobara
A sorcerer in his first year at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School under Gojo’s tutelage. She transferred to college so she wouldn’t have to pay for a move from the country. During her first official mission as a sorcerer, she meets Yuji and Megumi. To exorcise curses, Nobara employs a charm weapon hammer and nails imbued with her curse power.
Zenin Maki
A sophomore at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School. She recruits Megumi and Nobara (and later Yuji) to participate in the Sister School Exchange Event with Kyoto Prefectural Jujutsu High School, along with Toge and Panda. She comes from a prestigious sorceror clan and is the head’s eldest child, but due to her low Cursed Energy, she and her twin sister Mai were demoted to the clan’s servants. She later left the clan to study Jujutsu at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School and eventually become a Jujutsu Sorceror. Maki, who has low Cursed Energy, needs glasses to see Curses and employs a variety of weapons as Cursed Tools. She was born with a Heavenly Restriction (, Ten’yo Jubaku), which gives her superhuman physical prowess, which more than compensates for her lack of curse power.
Toge Inumaki
A second-year student at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School who is participating in the Sister School Exchange Event with Maki and Panda. He is seen with his mouth covered and only speaks in rice ball ingredients. This is because his cursed power is concentrated in his voice, causing different effects against Curses depending on how he speaks and uses his words.
Panda
Second-year student at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School participating in the Sister School Exchange Event. Despite his appearance as a giant panda, he is a unique type of Cursed Corpse created by Masamichi Yaga, in which Panda not only has sentience, but also grows and matures as he ages. He also has three “cores” (the ‘heart’ of a Cursed Corpse) that he can switch between to unlock different abilities.
Yuta Okkotsu.
The main character of Tokyo Metropolitan Curse Technical School (volume 0), a prequel to the main series. Yuta was a cursed Special-Grade victim who was haunted by the spirit of his childhood friend, Rika Orimoto. Yuta’s case was assigned to Satoru Gojo, who enrolled him at Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School, where he made friends with Maki Zen’in, Toge Inumaki, and Panda. Yuta learns to control his cursed energy and becomes a skilled swordsman after training with Gojo and the other students.
Even after Rika’s curse is removed, Yuta retains his Special-Grade ranking, so much so that he can defeat Suguru Geto, and Gojo has stated that Yuta has the potential to defeat him. Yuta’s great power stems from his descent from one of the three great sorcerer clans, which is why he cursed Rika when he refused her death at such a young age. Yuta is a sophomore at the institute who is studying abroad.
